Alex Grace
Alex Grace has produced No Pressure to be Funny since September 2011. She is also is the Director/Producer of Funny for Good, which produces and publicizes large scale comedy fundraising shows for the NGO and Charitable sector. Recent Funny for Good events include Comedy Slam at the Southbank Centre with Jo Brand which raised money and awareness for Mental Health Services; War on Want¹s 2012 and 2013 Comedy Gig at the 02 Shepherd¹s Bush Empire and Laughter and Pain for Reprieve at London¹s Lyceum Theatre.
Alex is currently in production on War Child¹s first annual comedy gala which will be happening in March 2013.
After working in the press office and communications department of Amnesty International UK moved to work as a Consultant Producer for legal action charity Reprieve, producing several large West-End comedy galas - working with comedians such as Tim Minchin, Rory Bremner, Bill Bailey and Phil Jupitus. Produced and co-devised a series of global publicity campaigns including Fair Trial My Arse which aimed to raise awareness of imprisonment without trial in Guantanamo Bay and Zero dB (against music torture). I Count, Live Earth and A Million Voices for Public Services.
Alex has co-produced a variety of campaigning films, documentaries and comedy shorts. She is currently developing a feature film with writer/filmmaker Ross Dinwiddy and is on the look out for comedy scripts to produce!
